I started at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, FL as a Music Major. I  completed 2 years of training at that university as a Music Major and 1 additional year there as a Music Education Major. I then moved back to my hometown (Palatka, FL), transferred to St. Leo University/Palatka Campus, and switched my major to Elementary Education and graduated with a B.A. in Elm Ed.

I have been teaching for about 10 years overall. All of those years are not consecutive because I took time off in between having our 4 children. I have taught in a variety of grade levels and subjects: Math, History, ELA, and Bible in 7th-12th grade; ELA for K-4th grade, Math & Science for Kindergarten, and Music for K-2nd & High School.

I was born and raised in a small town called Palatka which is in central Florida. After High School I went straight to college and graduated with a B.A. in Elm Ed. I have been married to my sweet husband Darrell for 14 wonderful years and we have 4 amazing children: Aubrey-13, Caleb-11, Lilly-9, and Micah-7. My husband is a Pastor and we are also in a Contempary Christian Band in our free time where I am 1 of 2 lead vocalist and my husband is the drummer. We love doing things together as a family such as: Attending Sunday worship services, going to the beach, having family game nights, and having family movie nights. I beleive that Music speaks across all languages/backgrounds and can be a tool of unity throughout the U.S. and the world.
